The Bobcats welcomed RHAM to Bacon Academy on Wednesday, May 3rd and the team edged the Sachems 13-11. Casey Hart's second goal with just 2:46 remaining proved to be the game winner.
Noah Mocksfield scored 4 consecutive goals to start the game for BA, but RHAM responded with 4 straight goals of their own in the 2nd quarter to tie the game at 4 apiece. Bacon came out of half-time on fire, ripping 5 shots by the RHAM goalie on way to a 9-4 lead early in the 3rd frame. RHAM fought back again with 5 unanswered goals to knot the game up at 9-9. Dylan Heald's second goal put the Bobcats ahead 11-9 with 8 minutes to go. 2 goals in just 33 seconds by RHAM tied it again at 11-11 with 5:52 remaining. Ethan Cuadro's 3rd goal of the game closed out the scoring resulting in the 13-11 final.
Along with Mocksfield, Hart, Heald and Cuadro; Tyler Christianson and Connor Elmy also hit the back of the net for Bacon. Bobby Parker and Chris Consiglio each dished out 2 assists and Ryan LoVetere added a helper. Dylan Depersia led RHAM with 6 goals.
Long Stick Middies Julian Lindo, Josh Atchison, Evan Bradstreet and Sean Newton teamed up with defenders Brian Egan, Eli Healy and Jonah McNaughton to disrupt the RHAM offense. Goalie Kyle Denker recorded 13 saves for the Bobcats.
Bacon's record improved to 8-1 after the victory. The team is off to their best start in BA Lacrosse history.
