The team traveled to Ledyard on April 11th for a road game against the Colonels. After jumping out to quick and convincing leads during the first 2 games, this time the Bobcats found themselves trailing 6-3 half way thru the 2nd quarter. Coach Brian Martin called a time-out. His words were effective as the team scored the next 3 goals in just a few minutes to knot the score at 6-6 going into halftime. Bacon dominated the second half, outscoring Ledyard 4-2 in the third quarter and 5-1 in the fourth en route to a 15-9 victory.
Tyler Christianson and Dylan Heald each score 5 goals and combined for 5 assists for the Bobcats. Freshman Ryan LoVetere scored twice, Tony Tyler had a goal and 2 assists and Bobby Parker and Brayden LoVetere each fired shots passed the goalie. Casey Hart recorded an assists and Ian Carey had a big game with an assist and strong play on both sides of the field. Chris Consiglio, Connor Elmy, Ethan Hahn and Conor McCourt put in valuable time at the Middie position, transitioning the ball to the Attackmen and harassing the opposition on defense.
Freshman Goalie Kyle Denker made 7 saves to start his Bobcat career with a 3-0 record. Defensemen Sean Newton, Jonah McNaughton, Brian Egan, Eli Healy and Josh Atchison played a strong 2nd half, limiting Ledyards shots and allowing just 3 goals in the final 2 quarters.
